Join award-winning comics creator and educator Joana Mosi for an evening of zine-making and a meet and greet with the author. Joana is based in Lisbon, Portugal, and her graphic novels The Mongoose and Physical Education are published by Pow Pow (Montréal) in both English and French. Don’t miss this rare chance to meet, learn from, and be inspired by one of the one of the most important emerging talents in the European comics scene! 6:30-7:30pm – Workshop: During this workshop, the participants will be challenged to write, draw, and build their own one-sheet-zine, with or without prior experience. The purpose is to have fun and have no fear to explore new ideas on the paper and beyond. Limited to 15 participants.
7:30-8:45/9:00pm – Author Q&A/Meet & Greet: Meet Joana Mosi and learn more about her work during this conversation with fellow cartoonist Magnus Merklin. Copies of Joana’s books will be available to purchase and get signed in both English and French. Free and open to the public.
